Non explosive demolition powder Uses
NOVABLAST Chemical Breaker has been designed for demolition of concrete, rock and boulders in environmentally sensitive areas where vibration must be minimized. It is also suitable for controlled splitting of concrete, rock, boulders and quarrying of natural stone that will be accomplished smoothly and efficiently with superior yield in shorter time.

Description
NOVABLAST Chemical Breaker is a special blend of cements and
additives to provide a sustained expansion after setting. This
expansion creates the fragmentation.
Three grades are available for use in temperatures.
10 – 20 degree Type A
20 – 35 degree Type B
35 – 50 degree Type C

Properties
Expansion :
Expansion forces more than 30 N/mm2 are typically achieved in a period of 18 – 24 hours. This acts against the tensile strength of the material to be fragmented.
Application instructions
Preparation
A pattern of holes should be established, bearing in mind
need to create a free face. Typically, the hole spacing will be
about 10 times the hole diameter. The spacing chosen will
depend upon the degree of fragmentation desired. The holes
should preferably be greater than 25mm dia and 500mm length

Application
The recommended water powder ratio is 0.25 to 0.30 for all grades that is 1.5 liters for 5 kg packet

Calculated based on diameter, length and total number of
holes. A measured quantity of water should be placed in a
mixing drum. Water should not exceed 1.5litres per 5kg of
NOVABLAST Chemical Breaker.
The powder should be added to the water, being continuously
stirred with a hand mixer or drill and paddle until a lump free,
even consistency is obtained.
The mixed material will become a light gel within a maximum
of 15 minutes from mixing. For ease of placing the grout
should be poured into the holes before this time has elapsed.
Care must be taken to ensure that the grout level is flush with
the mouth of the hole. Cover the mouth of the hole by sacking
or sheeting directly after filling, and then retire immediately.
After placing, Chemical Breaker should be left undisturbed
until full cracking has taken place up to 24 hours after pouring.
It is recommended that the work area is cordoned off with
warning signs.
Estimating Storage
12 months in unopened pack if stored in dry environment.

 Thank you very much for your enquiry for rock blasting.
 We can take up complete contract or supply of rock cracking
chemicals  whichcomes in 5 kgs packets WITH ONE BOX OF 20 KGS
The usage instruction is as follows.

Drilling
       1. Drill holes using an air hammer drill and appropriate drill bit
specific to the rock type.
       2. Holes should be drilled no further than 30-60cm (1 ft-2ft) apart.
Note. In reinforced concrete recommended no more than 20cm (8") apart.
       3. Recommended hole diameter 38mm-50mm (1 1/2" - 2.0") . Depth would
be 70-90% of the way depending on the type of rock/material to
           be removed.


Mixing

       1. For regular safety reasons and mixing small amounts by Hand, it
is recommendable to use rubber gloves.
       2. In a bucket, combine 1.5 Liters of water to one 5kgs bag of
CRACKING MATERIAL .or pour water and CRACKING MATERIAL as a rate of 1.3
units by weight.
       3. Mix well, using a drill and paddle is recommended . If mixing
with a stick or other method, make sure powder is completely dissolved into
the water.
           Mix to the slurry.

Filling

      1. Clean holes before filling using air hose remove excess dust from
drilling.
      2. CRACKING slurry should be poured into holes within 10-15 min, after
mixing. Do not fill to the top , only fill the holes about 15mm (1/2" to 1 )
          from the top.
      3. Mix well and pour into holes while agitating the hole to make sure
no air gaps are in the hole. Example; Using a piece of rod or stick to poke
holes.
      4. For Horizontal holes, a grouting pump would be most reliable to pour.

Cracking or Cutting time

                   The cracks appear in 40-60 min after filling , depending
on the weather, rocks, and concrete type. the cracks become wider within
time
                   (maximum 48 hours expanding time).  NO LICENCE REQUIRED
